Crazy is the only word to describe this week. Vacation Bible School is this week, so I have two exhausted kids, not to mention one exhausted momma!!! Between marathon training, baking 6 dozen cookies, adding a 2nd weekly riding lesson for Brenden, picking up Brenden's new braces, babysitting, making and shipping tons of hairbows, and *trying* to not let my house turn into a disaster zone, I feel like I'm going insane. Yesterday evening Jonathan's dad wanted to come over and mow so Jonathan didn't have to worry about it when he gets home tomorrow night....I told him I would leave the shed unlocked so he could get the mower, however I forgot. It wasn't until I walked into the house after Bible School last night that I realized I didn't unlock it and then felt horrible that he drove all the way here for nothing. That's just one example of me losing my mind the past few weeks! Yesterday morning while getting Madelynn dressed I started to put Brenden's braces on her, only to realize it was the wrong kid....Brenden said, "Mommy, you're crazy." Ummm, ya think?!?!
Luckily, Jonathan only has one more week until he's done and will graduate from the academy next Friday. Shortly after that Brenden will start Summer school, which will be good for all of us. Even though that will mean me running back and forth to drop him off and pick him up, it will give me a few quiet moments at least. Madelynn finished her first session of gymnastics so I'm still deciding if we will do the next session or hold off for now. I'd like to get her in some type of music class, so we may do that instead.
We will soon be saying goodbye to someone special....my brother's girlfriend for the past 5 1/2 years will be moving back to Thailand in the next few weeks. They started dating at the same time Jonathan and I did, so our family will certainly miss her. She was there for our wedding, she's watched both kids grow up, been there for all their birthday parties, etc, and I know they will miss her, too. I've been telling Brenden that she will be leaving, though I'm not sure he realizes it's not just a short period of time. Sasima, we will miss you :(
So for now, I'm getting off the computer while both kids are napping and enjoying the quiet time :)

This mommy has no brain too.... but that isn't the similarity that I wanted to comment on... My best friend moved to Thailand 18 months ago too, and I can say for SURE we miss him so much!! I am even considering flying there with my kids to see him.... what is with Thailand being so great and all??? ;-)
