God doesn't give children with special needs to strong people; He gives children with special needs to ordinary, weak people and then gives them strength. Raising a child with special needs doesn't take a special family, it makes a special family.

I'm a big boy now!!

Well a few months ago Mommy started feeding me food. First I had to get used to cereal. Let me just say that it doesn't have much flavor! But it filled my belly up so I figured I would eat it so Mommy would be happy. She kept telling me that I was a big boy now so I would get to start eating something other than that old formula. After I mastered cereal, it was time to eat baby food. I didn't realize what I was missing!!! The doctor told Mommy to start with vegetables so I wouldn't get used to the sweetness of fruit. Squash and sweet potatoes are my favorite, but I like pretty much all of them.....except peas! YUCK!! I had to spit them back out and I don't think Mommy liked it much because it went all over my clothes. (She has this thing with me getting dirty, but I'm a boy, what is she thinking?!?!) Well after a few weeks eating veggies I was a pro. So we moved on to fruit.....boy did I like fruit! I'm finally big enough to sit in my high chair to eat, which is great because Mommy can feed me while they eat dinner. I only eat three meals a day now instead of every 3 hours.
