God doesn't give children with special needs to strong people; He gives children with special needs to ordinary, weak people and then gives them strength. Raising a child with special needs doesn't take a special family, it makes a special family.

Surgery....successful! Dr. Jane is very pleased with how well surgery went. It took just a little over 4 hours. Brenden will be spending the night in PICU and if all continues to go well he will be transferred to the pediatric unite tomorrow afternoon. He has been very alert, talking A LOT, and of course, asking for cookies, pizza, and crackers. He kept his fluids down for a few hours so was allowed to have some graham crackers and I just fed him some pudding. He's been very tired and in true Brenden fashion has been fighting sleep all evening!!! The PICU has a very comfy bed, so hopefully we will both get some much needed sleep tonight. Tomorrow will most likely be the worst day pain wise, so continue to keep him in your prayers. Thank you to everyone for the continued support. God's hand continues to work in Brenden's life and we trust in Him for a full recovery.
